Re-capturing the `spiral spirit’ in rural West Wales

A group of women who had all been to Spiral at different times met at Spiral Rising last year and agreed that we didn’t want to try and recreate Spiral, but that we did want to go camping with a group of women. So we found a fabulous campsite and about 30 of us had a brilliant time last year – so we’re doing it again!

Whereabouts: We have found a really peaceful rural campsite at Llanrhystud in the heart of West Wales. Checkout the website http://www.camping.artizen.me.uk/ to get an idea of the site, or look at our photos on the `spiral women’s camp gals’ facebook page.

We can have campfires and the owner will sell us logs to put on. It has very basic amenities like toilets and showers and a cooking area. Access is not brilliant for women with limited mobility – there are flat pitches, but the site is on a slope, and the toilets and showers are across the access road.

We’ve booked the whole site so there will only be us there. There’s room for 75 – 80 women maximum and it’s going to cost us £800 for the week – so if 80 women come it will be £10 for the week, and even if only 40 women come it will only be £20 each, way cheaper than any `normal’ campsites.

What to bring: Bring your lovely selves, a tent, sleeping bags, warm clothes, sun tan lotion and swimmers, food and drink to share, musical instruments, fancy dress and probably your wellies!

The important but not so fun stuff:
ABSOLUTELY NO DOGS
NO HEAVY DRUGS

And in keeping with the original Spiral Spirit – no amplified music
