H.O.P.E Training & Consultancy & Leicestershire Constabulary present the 2nd Annual Conference in Leicester looking at Forced Marriages & Honour Based Violence.
This conference will be looking at what changes have occurred since the Forced Marriage Protection orders have been launched.A number of high profile guest speakers will be present talking about these issues we will also be showing a play and running workshops on the following:
Workshops:-
-Forced Marriage Act – One year on: What difference has the act made, how many orders have been made, what is the future for FM act?
-Honour Based Violence: The role do Female Perpetrators play -what role do perpetrators play in the abuse (younger siblings and mothers), how can “honour and shame” meaning be changed within the community?
-Witness & Victims of Domestic Violence: How can witnesses and victims feel confident within the CJS system?

This is a free event, however if you do not attend and do not inform H.O.P.E 48 hours prior to event you will be charged £25 (we are very limited with spaces strictly first come basis)
There will be a lunch buffet provided at the event, and there will also be the opportunity for you to network and meet other providers within the field.
You will also have the opportunity to promote your services at the event, as there will be tables left in the foyer area for organisations to display there services.
