Hibiscus – Female Prisoners Welfare Project
Volunteer Befrienders (Female) Required
To provide befriending support to women in prison in England.
Good communication and listening skills essential.
Knowledge of another language desirable (especially Eastern European, Chinese and Vietnamese).
Opportunities for students in Social Work or Counselling to develop their skills.
FPWP / Hibiscus will offer training opportunities, follow-up and group support meetings, travel reimbursement and lunch entitlement.
