IKWRO provides advice, support, advocacy and referrals in Arabic, Kurdish, Turkish, Dari and Farsi to women, girls and couples living in Britain, in particular helping women facing domestic violence, forced marriage and ‘honour’-based violence.
Advice/Advocate Case Worker (3 day a week- Female)
Part-Time (21hrs/week) including some evenings and weekends
Starting Salary: £14,751
Fluency in English and written and spoken fluency in Farsi required; This post provides frontline support services and manages provision of information, advice, casework and advocacy services for Middle Eastern women at risk of “honour” killings, forced marriage, FGM and domestic violence. Experience of providing advice, advocacy and casework and of supervising staff and/or volunteers is essential for this post.
Finance and admin worker (3 day a week- Female)
Part-Time (21hrs/week) including some evenings and weekends
Starting Salary: £14,175
Fluency in both written and spoken English is required, excellent organizational and financial skills, ability to do general bookkeeping, budgeting, and payroll processing. A good understanding of the issues facing Middle Eastern refugee and migrant women living in the UK is desirable.
