On Thursday 10th September, Haringey council will decide whether to allow the proposed lap dancing club to open in Crouch End. The hearing is at the Civic Centre, Wood Green N22 at 7.30pm.

Please come to the hearing if you can, and demonstrate to the council that local people are against this club.

We don’t want a lap dancing club in our lovely safe community, especially one so close to homes and schools. Research shows reported rapes go up in areas where a lap dancing club opens. An increase in noise, litter and petty crime are typical too. Women working in these bars are exploited and sometimes even trafficked.

The strength of community feeling will be measured partly by how many people attend this meeting on 10 September, and Councillors are typically responsive to their voters’ concerns. It could really help to get the application turned down.

Please tell your friends and neighbours to attend too!

Thanks,
LAP OFF
