We have been contacted by Rape Crisis with an update on the situation that as of 4th April 2009 no announcement had been made as to what money would be allocated for the financial year 2009/10:

Many thanks for everyone support for Rape Crisis regarding the Victims Fund . This one year fund was announced on the 8th May 2008. The funding was only available to groups that had previously received this funding.

Support for women and girls to rebuild their lives after rape must be a right, not a privilege determined by a postcode lottery.
